I agree with the above. A nice sparkling wine, not too dry, would also be good.

If you really want to WOW them, get a bottle of eiswine (or icewine, if Canadian) as an apeterif or dessert wine. It's about $50-$60 for a half bottle, but well worth it. Everybody gets a little taste!
