LIB!!!! Lo after these meeny eons of cajooling, cuddling, carousing, and cursing the mighty CD has deiogned to join our lil' ole' comfy circle. I can assure you this dude be neither a dork nor a passive cork puller. BigRedWines, the Dork and meeself had lubnch today and 4(FOUR) bottles mysteriously dissappeared and had I not have had an unbreakable committment to take my big boy kitty in for his 6-month we would have had a 5th(That's only 750ml right?) The durable duo were determined to treat so they brought 2 mystery wines they were sure I hadn't had the pleezue of afore and boy were they right. The 1st was a 2000 Napa cab that has to be the hallmark for all 2000s. Brite ruby with cinnamon,clove,cedar, red and black fruits and vanilla highlights that absiol;utely assailed the nose. The 2nd was the same vineyard in the 2001 model that took all of the above to the highest level possible for this tired ole' schnozz. Explosive is the only adjective I can use to describe the mouthfeel. Both wines hit the magic 5-Lapper zenith and thats' all I can do on the judging as I have no earthly ideer of the price(BUT i can assure you it 'haint in the Glen Ellen range) but the front end of the scoring is 97 for the 2000 and 99-100 for the 2001. I do know the fearsome duo picked these up on their foray into Napa in Nov.( Which may account for the conumers price index for that county rising 73% above the average of all Calif counties that month) WW [img]http://wines.com/ubb/wink.gif[/img]
