hi all, i am new here, and have loved wine for years, but really know nothing about it. i stumble on to a good bottle now and again.

and i must confess, after years of blind wine shopping, i dont think i like cabernet s. i mean i like it, but instead of fruit and berries, what i like most in a wine is earthiness. a few years ago i had a bordeaux that was fantastic, tasting of leather and a wine cellar. but i lost the bottle and have know idea what kind it was.

last night i had a fairly decent rhone..
2000 j vidal fleury
cotes-de-ventoux
not as earthy as the aformentioned bordeaux, but i liked it.

so i humbly ask you very experienced folks for any suggestions.
thanks
