You can't get the wine anywhere but at Trader Joe's--the outfit contracts to buy it all under its labels.

You can drive to Westfield, New Jersey; there, you will find a Trader Joe allowed to sell its wine. What are you near, exit 31 or is it 37? I have a brother who lives on Atlantic Ave, near the Garden City Park train station. Anyway, take the LIE to the BQE, to the Brooklyn Bridge, to the Holland Tunnel, to Rt 9 South, to Rt 22 West, to the Westfield exit. The trip will cost (if you are in a car and not an SUV) a gallon plus of gas (add a gallon for the interminable waiting on the LIE). You might save as much on a couple of bottles of wine at Trader Joe's.

In my opinion, the wines are little more than simple bargains. If we knew exactly from which producer or warehouse Trader Joe contracted each of its wines, we could likely find the same wine under a few different labels, and at various prices too. It's a system that helps get rid of surplus California wine.
