Hi RV, and welcome to the Wine Board. You live in a large metro area (and thanks for posting your location). There are many excellent wine stores there. Call some and ask about tastings. This will give you an opportunity to try many in a comparative setting. You could also drive out to Fredericksburg and visit some of your local wineries. Again you can try many at one time. Also check out other postings on this thread. Many different choices are recommended every day.
