Pretty simple...entire science of winemaking is packaged by nature. The juice/liquid is in the grapes. The nutrient (sugar) to fuel the fermentation is there. The yeast to make it happen is there on the skins. At it's most basic, you squeeze the grapes and nature does everything else.
