Hi Deborah and welcome to the board. 97 was a very usable vintage but not great. The Medoc was a little less successful than other areas. All of the wines except a few from the Pomerol and St. Emillion are early drinkers. Didn't buy any 97s' so don't have any 1st hand experience with the Bel Aire but imagine it needs to be drunk early.
