Getting the Buzz ... or not

This is kind of a stupid question, but I’m curious about it.

I was reading about a Wine competition that took place in Long Beach CA. The judges swirled, sniffed, sipped, and spitted around 1500 different wines from around the world.

After you sipped 1500 wines, even if you spit, you have to feel some kind of buzzed...

What do you think? Can somebody does that and not get wasted in the process?

I would not be able be a judge on this kind of competition, I will refuse to spit!
