Help me find a Pinot Noir I like!

I live less than an hour away from some of the most talked-about Pinot Noir producers, and I have yet to find one I enjoy drinking! I don't know if I'm just not spending enough to get a "high quality" wine, or if I'm expecting something that won't ever be there... I keep anticipating something that's easier to drink than they have been.

So, I need help! Please fill me in on the quirks of this wine...
