White wine or Red wine?

Hi Tiny Angel and welcome to the Wine Board. It is not usual to try to match a wine with a whole meal. There are not many wines that go with savory entrees and then sweet desserts.

For your chicken cacciatore I would go with a lusty red such as Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Rosso, or Rosso Di Montepulciano Fassati. If you want a wine with dessert get a white dessert wine such as Bonny Doon Muscat de la Glacierre.
