Harris Teeter in our area routinely "discounts" their Bogle '03 to $8.99 a bottle, so the price you are getting is outstanding! I agree with the other poster (name eludes me now, I apologize) who suggested merlot for a larger event.

I wouldn't be concerned either about the presence of any "aficionados" at your gathering; you are serving so many people that the ones with refined/educated sensibilities realize the scale of your event and know the limitations of cost.

My mother always said it was more important to have plenty of toilet paper and soap than an "aristocratic" wine when entertaining on that scale. Good Luck and Warm Smiles!
