Hi Kazual, and let me welcome you to the Board. Yes sweeter wines have more residual sugar in them than dry wines. However, it is not a lot of sugar. A really sweet table wine might go 3% RS. You notice it at .5%. Those percentages are by volume. There is much more sugar in Coke.

If you want a dry red that is both Kosher and very good, dry those by Baron Herzog. We have enjoyed many of their wines including their Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. They are both dry wines.
