California, where most American Cabernet Sauvignon is produced, requires 75% of the varietal on the label to be in the bottle. This is up from 50% twenty five years ago. Most reputable producers tell you somewhere on the bottle exactly what it inside. Some super snotty ones don't put anything except their and the wine's names on the bottle, and dare you to challege what's inside. IMHO cabernet sauvignon is better when blended with one or two additional grapes such as merlot, cabernet franc, or malbec. This is what they do in Bordeaux.
