Can't say if it's the "best" way.... I simply lay the bottle in the laundryroom sink label-side up and let hot water flow onto the label to loosen the glue. About 30 seconds of that is usually enough. If not, repeat. Then overlay the label with clear contact paper, peel off the label and paste it into your cellarbook.
