Haven't posted in awhile so I thought I'd might. As I stated in earlier post, I run a grocery store or supermarket if you'd rather. We have a wine department in our store. My question is this...how do you folks feel about purchasing wine from a grocery store. We store all of our wine standing up. We just don't have the facilities to store the wine on it's side (or more likely, our company decided that we can display more wine standing up.) It hasn't seem to hurt our sales at all and we actually get compliments on our selection. We do not stock any fine wines (yet anyway - I am campaigning to get a fine wine case in my store) with our most expensive wine being $33 (a Ravenwoods merlot and a Ruffino chianti). Just wondered what you all felt about grocery stores selling wine - of course I make most of my purchases there - afterall it's my store :->
