He's right. '45 and'47 are generally collector years for Bordeaux. Forget any whites that old, they would be a true gamble (besides Sauternes or comparable). Price ranges are in the stratosphere, especially for '45. This was the first post war vintage and is significant for many of the older and wealthier collectors. This is also the year Mouton started his art labels with the famous "V" for victory.
