Triple H, I've only drank 2 100% Petit Verdot wines and both are from Australia,
Craneford and Pirramimma. Both enjoyable and made well but don't expect complexity. Petit Verdot, with these two wines displays deep color and shows intense blackberry flavors with hints of dark chocolate. Somewhat similar to merlot but with higher acidity and more tannins. Petit Verdot is a late ripening, very small in size, blending grape in Bordeaux. Australia has been experimenting with this varietal in recent years.
