You picked a great example of how to explain things. Talbot is the producer, Logan is the brand, Sleepy Hollow is the vineyard, Pinot Noir is the grape. If, instead of Pinot Noir, it said "Volnay", then that would be a region that you were expected to know made their wine out of pinot noir.
