welcome sunflower. Heed WW's advice. Also, in the "Wines Without a Category" thread, you'll find Marietta Calif. Old Vine Red...a "field blend" that is nice for sippin' or with burgers, meatloaf & other everyday fair.

And, as I always recommend to Canadians, don't overlook wines from the Okanagan B.C. wine country...I like the Sumac Ridge Cabernet Franc for the very purpose you've described.
