wine glasses-size differences?

Bucko: about that link you posted - it claimed one could have Riedel Vinums/Vinum Extremes and Spiegelau Vino Grands for ~$5-6 a stem. How old is that story? I've recently been on a wine glass hunt, and decided against Riedels becuase of the price - over $25 a stem for the Vinums, more for Vinum Extremes. I one purchased some general purpose Spieglau stems that were had for $10 each.

I opted for Spiegelau Authentis Bordeaux glasses which received more positive than negative reviews and were recommended over the corresponding Riedel Vinum Bordeaux as being near the same quality for half the price. They retail for about $14 a stem, but I got them at discount from Amazon.com for roughly $8 a stem.

Where in the world would one get Riedel Vinums for $6 a stem? That would be a steal (or maybe that would mean they were stolen)!

I once got some off-brand burgenders for $5/stem, but never heard of anything from Riedel or Spiegelau that inexspensive (save for the low-end collections).
