wine glasses-size differences?

I once read in the introduction to a cookbook by a well know chef, that you could cook in any pot that didn't have holes in the bottom.

I feel pretty much the same about wine glasses. While we keep some nice stems on hand for entertaining, we tend to do our daily drinking out of what is handy, so long as there are no holes in the bottom. This year we have been mainly using two bulbulous slightly over 12oz glasses that came with the tasting fee at a Temucula winery in February
