Suggestions for upcoming wedding

Greetings!
I am currently looking for "best buy" wines for a wedding of roughly 150 guests. The menu consists of Moroccan flair foods, such as chicken with an apple pecan chutney, imported cheeses, olives, Moroccan couscous, organic summer salad, etc. I personally tend for bold reds, such as Australian Shiraz blends or California Zinfandels, but am open to suggestions (as I don't know if they will complement well here). Since I will be needing to buy several cases, I am hoping to find red and white wines under $12. Thanks for any info you can offer, and cheers!
