Warren,

If you drink Bordeaux (of lesser status) you might have gotten small amounts of carmenere in your wine. But it really is a mostly Chilean delight--sometimes.

I have tasted a few and find that, in general, they have been similar to Merlot but with a little more tannin. None, however, were good enough for me to want to spend more than $12 or so on a bottle.
