Hi Debinnc, and welcome to the Wine Board. Obviously none of us know what your father likes. So, we are (well won't use that expression). If he likes to eat with his wine, it would be reasonable to get a food friendly wine. One we particularly like right now is Easton, California, Barbera ($18.00). It is available from www.wine.com , where there are other Christmas suggestions. This is an emanately quaffable wine that can be sipped in the afternoon, or married with a wide variety of foods.
