Some pretty interesting numbers I see.

Okey here are the results that I have tabulated:

1/2 a bottle to 1 bottle per nite (1 person)
1-2 bottles per week (2 people)
2-3 bottles per week (1 person)
3-4 bottles per week (4 people)
4-6 bottles per week (4 people)
7 or more bottles per week (4 people)
12-14 bottles per week (1 person)

I forgot to add mines , which is currently 1-2 bottles per week. But usually it is 2-4 bottles per week. I am going to assume that the more knowledgeable wine ppl drink more wines per week than the novice members.

And in regards to rating ones knowledge, the majority seem to rate themselves as novice or always learning.

But the more interesting results is the consumption of other alcoholic drinks , besides wine! The overwhelming winner is beer(13 votes) followed by margaritas(8) and scotch(7). Gin & tonic or martinis (4), dark rum (1), bloody mary's (1).
I wonder how this survey would look if the same question was asked to european wine drinkers. If i saw correctly, I did see a French member here.
Beer takes on a much different "taste" compared to wine, almost like a 360 degree turn around. For me, the rich and deep flavors of rum, scotch, or cocktails in general, seem more comparable than beer would be and thus the easy transformation into the wine world.
