Randy, a cigar with wine? That is likely the worst way to enjoy wine. The cigar is too strong, too overpowering to fully appreciate the wonderful subtleties of the many components in wine. Replace the cigar with food, and see how great wine can be.

Incidentally, you are likely to get sick--long term--from the cigar well before you'll get sick from spoiled wine. Even with tobacco's influence on the tongue, a spoiled wine makes itself quite clear quite easily.
