Zinfandel Wine

Hi LB and welcome to the board. To expand a little on Foodies answer there is only one Zinfandel grape and it's RED. White Zinfandel is made by only leaving the juice of the grapes on the red skins for just a heartbeat. The juice gets only enough color to produce the blush wine you buy as White Zinfandel. Then the fermentation is stopped while there's still sugar in the juice. And, Voila!. A sweet(kinda) wine that appeals to novice drinklers. WW
