Please help a NY/Chicago bride choose!

This is my first visit and I'm looking for some friendly advice.

I live in New York City and am having a Hawaiian-Jewish lu'au wedding in Chicago in early September. I would like to purchase a case of red (possibly merlot--we're serving teriyaki tenderloin), a case of white (possibly riesling--we're serving mahimahi with ginger), and a case of Champagne on my own (independent of the caterer's limited selection and unlimited markup). I don't have a relationship with any wine merchants in the Chicago area, or any online wine merchants, and it doesn't make sense to carry it on the plane from New York with me!

If you have wine and/or merchant recommendations, I would be most grateful for the guidance! Thanks, all-
