Brett, the Larousse Encylopedia of Wine has an excellent description of Austrian wines and producing areas, including a few paragraphs on the wineries near Vienna. The country's wine-producing regions are all clustered near the eastern border and span the country from north to south, in a band about 80 mi wide and maybe 160 mi long. Vienna is in the NE part of the country. With distances so short and travel so easy (by rail, bus or rental car), you can see a lot in 10 days, even if you have to spend a little time working. But keep in mind that winter begins early in that part of the world, and November can be kinda nippy.
The Larousse retails for $40, but is a bit less through Amazon.com. Good investment.
