Well, as someone who is fighting the urge to fork over big bucks to go on a wine tour of australia right at this moment, I can't imagine why anyone would turn down the chance to go. I am dying to go, but do not have the bucks to spend on that right now....had to buy a new vehicle instead. (no the trip was not as much as the vehicle....but it was about a fifth of the price)

But if I had to guess, I would agree with Curmy. The trips are usually quite long because of the distance covered, and because of the extended stay and the distance covered, they are expensive. Nothing much can be done about that I don't think.

As for the public not having a clear idea of what to expect.....I think that may be true also to some extent. May need to do some really good informative PR, then see if interest picks up.
