I think we are going to try for one vineyard in the Shanandoah Valley and then, later on, one vineyard in the "foothills".

We are going to try to visit the Shenandoah Vineyards, which are supposedly the oldest in the valley. They produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Chambourcin. Their website is www.shentel.net/shenvine

Then we will try for a visit at Prince Michel & Rapidan River Vineyards which is north of Charlottesville and just outside of Culpepper. They produce Chardonnay, CS, Merlot, a Merlot-CS Reserve, vintage Brut, dry and semi-dry Rieslings, Gewurt, Rose, and some sweet and semi-sweet reds. Their website is: www.princemichel.com
