Trip to WA and OR

We'll be off to visit some good friends in Gig Harbor for a family event in September. While there, we're staying at a B&B (the Green Cape Cod) in Tacoma (Bucko's neck of the woods, I believe). Before we head up there, though, we want to spend about 3 or 4 days doing the Willamette Valley wineries and that's where the question comes up. Does anyone know of any good B&B's in that area? We don't know that area at all, and it was suggested we stay up near the top of the valley the first night and head down and stay near the middle for the other two or three nights. We'd really appreciate any recommendations from people that know the area. Of course, we'd like recs on which wineries are definite musts to visit. Good restaurants, too.
