Thanks, IK. From what I understand, you can carry two bottles into Mexico before having to pay a duty. The problem is the time between our flights into Mexico City and on to Leon. We need to get through customs quickly, and thus we will be carrying on our luggage so that we have an easier time of it. Bringing in wine will only make the passage through customs more time consuming; therefore, we're trying to avoid bringing wine and would like to buy it once we're in San Miguel. We're renting a casita, so there is no wine available that way. I hear the wine situation in Mexico is poor, but improving, but I'd love to get some thoughts from someone who has traveled to San Miguel, specifically, or to Mexico. Again, thanks!
