Hate to be a spoil sport, but if you can't get a cleaning utensil down the neck, you don't have a very good decanter. It will only do half the job, that of having a place to move your wine in hopes of eliminating sediment. The other half of the job, and far most common use, is aeration. For aeration you need a wide mouth.

I put my decanter into the dishwasher. If it builds up deposits, use false teeth cleaner.
