2000 San Telmo, Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina, $10. Earthy, berry notes are appreciated both on the nose and the palate, with plenty of cracked black pepper to add interest. Supple tannins and lively acidity on the finish. Begs for grilled meats or portabello mushrooms. A Seagram Estate import. 87/92.
