I am taking a French college class, and one of the assignments is too create a complete meal, complete with wines and cheese. I don't know anything about wine, though, and am technically not even old enough to legally drink. Anyway, my main question is what wine to serve. I was thinking of some kind of green salad for the first course, followed by trout, then steak and potatoes. For cheese I was thinking Brie, and for dessert maybe a cheesecake. The only one I have any clue about is a Champange for the Brie cheese (and for all I know even that might not be acceptable). The big catch is all of the wines have to be of a French origan. If there are any foods that I could substitute to make the pairing easier, just let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
