I had just about given up on $10 meritages. Tried this one last night. What a pleasant surprise. Strong chocolate and coffee on the nose. Definite strawberry on the tongue. Decent finish with soft lingering fruits. Does not need food to bring it out either. The bottle does not list quantity of each, only that it contains Cabernet, Zin, and Syrah. Produced by Midnight Cellars, Paso Robles. Alcohol is 13.6% by vol. I am not confident enough to actually rate wine at this point in my posting career, but let me say I will certainly be buying more on my next trip to my shop to keep as a house wine.
