2002 Kamiak Cellar Select Columbia Valley Red Wine

Since our visit this summer to those parts, Anne and I have tried to sample a few more things from there as we discover them on our local shelves. This blend of Cab and Merlot came out of the gate with all brambles and tannins. On the second and third nights it had rounded into a very pleasant drink with good fruit. Not a bad daily drinker, but give it a few years nap time or splash decant and wait on it a bit. Alc. 13.7%. We paid $13 for it. Not nearly as good as the "House Wine" by K Vintners' Magnificant Wine Company.
