The nose has a some salty grapefruit, a touch of pineapple, all mixed in with some oak although not too powerful. At first, the nose included some ammonia (or cat piss) but with time this blew off. On the palate, the fruit is concentrated, especially the back palate with a mix of Granny Smith apple and crab apple. A nice effort even though the acid takes this wine out of balance a touch.
