2005 Louis Jadot, Beaujolais Villages ($9.99 NH Liq Store). Alcohol level: 12.5%.

It treats the eye to a beautiful garnet color. It gives you overripe strawberries, some red raspberries, and even violets on the nose and upfront. A simple complexity of plum, light doses of cinnamon and pepper, and dusty earth cross the palate; and the finish is a â€œthank you mam.â€

We matched it with well seasoned burgers with onions in EVOO and whole wheat buns, and salad on the side. Is this really Monday?
