I had a glass of this Beaujolais Cru at Nana's Restaurant in Durham, NC. Deep purple color and viscous texture. Deep plum/dark cherry flavors, maybe a hint of forest edge. A wine of both refinement and depth, well balanced.

Not particularly well matched to my shrimp risotto appetizer, so I saved most of it to go with the entree of roast chicken over potato gnocchi with diced white eggplant, and wild oyster mushroom sauce. Terrific dish.
