Under $10. 11% alcohol
The wine was a salmon color when held in front of my face; more a deep apricot color held directly under a light source. It showed clarity. Bubbles when first poured, but they quickly dissipated. It was well chilled and the nose was at first quite muted. When it did emerge, it was closer to the aroma of strawberries than any other elements. On the palate I found flavors of crushed strawberries, light cream and a little lime flavoring. This wine was quite lightweight, but charming as a quaffer. I would use it as an aperitif or with light summer dishes. I expect to find more body and complexity in two of the other rose's I have lined up (both are remaining bottles of previous purchases so I have tasted them before--a Chinon rose' from Cabernet Franc grapes and a Marsannay rose' from Pinot Noir grapes.)
