Costieres de Nimes.
A blend of 55% syrah, 40% grenache, and 5% mourvèdre, it is a deeply colored salmon. Raspberry and strawberry flavors, with hints of mineral and white pepper, the flavors are fresh and clean and the finish is long and satisfying. Eileen didn't care for it, as with all whites and roses, but tried it just to say she tried it. I sampled this wine over 4 days and it never broke down! Paired it with several dishes over the 4 days of tuna, crab and shrimp and thought it paired better with the shrimp. 14%Alc/vol. $10
