Went for two savennieres in a row. This is young, but I figured with the low-acid vintage this might not age too well.
This is pretty nice stuff. While the nose isn't nearly as beguiling as the Becherelle, this is a little more expansive on the palate, though not as complex. It's got a lemon-cream thing going on with the typical "dry honey" flavors. It really lacks the minerality and acidity I like in savennieres, but Claire likes this better than the Joly from last night.
I'm not super-confident about guessing how wines age, but I think the balance here is sort of teetering on the edge, I could see it getting pretty funky when it gets more secondary notes with age. Of course, I could be wrong!
