1999 Chateau de Goulaine, Vouvray ($9 local). Lovely slight off dry in the style of a typical Riesling Kabinett. Ripe apples and honey on the nose and upfront. Nicely balancing acidity with muted spiciness across the palate, and a pleasant finish. Matched wonderfully with sauteed haddock in cream sauce and salad.
