After my divorce I didn't even attempt to date anyone for more than a year. One of the guys at work gave me a Barry White CD to "buck me up" and get me "back in the game". I listened to it in my car for the first time, toungue firmly planted in cheek. I love music, mostly classic rock, funk and blues and play an instrument.I never took his work seriously. You know, after listening to that greatest hits compilation remember thinking how wrong I was! Barry White was a terrific composer and his arrangements just busted with varied and at times opposing melody lines and rhythm grooves. His music was not only fun,it was also technically innovative. I for one, will hoist a full bodied red and wish him eternal peace...and I'll do that in my smoking jacket with the soothing sounds of Gato Barbieri filling my ears.
