Andy,

Pour some olive oil into a frying pan and turn up the heat.

Slice Idaho potatoes in thin circles.

Deep fry them in the olive oil and at the last few seconds add some chopped garlic.

Lift the taters out when golden, sprinkle a dusting of sea salt on them, drain them and take them to the party.
