We took a trip up to Portland today to bring a friend to a medical specialist. On entering town on Franklin St the principal viaduct, we noticed a huge building going up. It's going to be a Whole Foods, the first in this area. Really looking forward to their opening.

Since it is true love's birthday, our friend took us to dinner at our favorite spot in town, J's Oyster Bar. It is a first rate sea food joint right smack on the water in the middle of town, and off the tourist path. Nobody there but locals, fishermen, local fishermen, and us. Had a great meal. Have to admit I washed in down with Geary's Autumn. It hit the spot.
