WOW,

I re-read my posting and am apologizing to you for my "phrasing of the question." Of course, yes... the Musignys are quite expensive and I shouldn't have phrased it that way. So, please accept my apologies.

On ocassions I've seen a Musigny offered at a restaurant by the glass. If you get the chance to try one... I'd suggest that you give it a try. IMHO, it's quite the tasting experience. Sort of like love at first sight... butterflies in the tummy and gliding high above the clouds! Hmmm... (those days a hundred years ago!!! )

I use to think that I was a "Bordeaux" man (and not that I don't enjoy a good Bordeaux) but I've really been smittened with great Burgundies. I would exemplify a great Bordeaux as being a Hummer with power, guts, and longevity. On the other hand, I would compare a great Burgundy to a Rolls-Royce... they're exceedingly smooth, powerful, yet incredibly subtle and graceful. BTW, have you tried the de Vogue Chambolle-Musigny? Jacques Prieur, Leroy, and Meo-Camuzet are some of my other favorite producers...

I've only been fortunate enough ONCE to taste a great 78 Henri Jayer Richebourg and must say, "WOW! If there were only one wine to be tasted before exiting this world.... "

So many wines... so little time!

Cheers
