Randy's post said it best, if not the longest way around.

I suppose you could say that the best fad would the fad of daily wine consumption by most adults. The key is to build wine as a daily food, and then fads will go away, replaced by common sense and individual preference. And you know, I see evidence (slight as it is) that it is becoming more and more a possibility in America, despite the prohibitionist attacks on wine.
